For a new local company, part of a multinational australian company we search
In connection with the support team in Rome the Senior Operations Support Engineer warrants that the customer’s own personnel operates the Server Based Gaming system correctly and efficiently and will support the customer in improving its standard operating procedures. This position is the key interface between technical customer staff and regulator. This position is also responsible for relaying technical requirements from the customer to developer group in Sweden

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

·Liaises closely with developer group in Sweden
·Technology lead in technical discussions with Italian regulator. Explains technical solutions and ensures D&D developer group absolutely understand regulator requirements to ensure quick and efficient turnaround of solutions at high quality.
Plans and executes the creation and upkeep of operations procedures
Hands-on support of installation of upgrades of SW at the customer primary and backup sites
Shift planning of onsite customer support which includes the position itself
Member of the technical phone support as part of the Support Hotline
Planning and executing the acceptance test at customer site
Installing and maintaining “mirror systems”, i.e. copies of our customer installations
Support the system test group (located at Headquarters) with installations and system tests
Occasionally conducts different kind of operational trainings

Key Skills & Experience:

You have relevant work experience from customer support from client-server and distributed systems of at least 10 years.
You have good computer technical knowledge and hands on experience from both the Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience related to managing relational databases such as Oracle.
You have good social skills and are self-motivated.
You are flexible and used to work in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge from the gambling industry is a plus
Commitment to company values is a MUST.

Willing to travel.
Highest levels of integrity.
Self-driven – able to manage own time effectively and to work independently
